I might as well make a post about the privatisation-nationalisation claims that are made about Germany under the NSDAP, the NS economy, and these concepts in general. >natsoc believes in the supremacy of the state over anything private, that private businesses and corporations are allowed to exist because they indirectly create economic power for the state. No, that is incorrect. NS economics is entirely informed by "Volksgemeinschaft" or "Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz". For this reason, nationalisation and privatisation are done on a case by case basis where it is practical to do so. Rheinmetall was nationalised. The HDW ship building company was nationalised and operated under the Kriegsmarine. Steyr was nationalised. Porsche was a private company that collaborated closely with the state company, Volkswagen. Krupp was never nationalised. In fact, its private ownership was ensured by the state. Many other military contractors such as Junkers, Henschel, Heinkel, Messerschmitt, Daimler, MAN, Maybach, Telefunken, Siemens, BMW, the Quandt companies, Sauer, IG Farben, et alia, et alia remained privately controlled. It is not because "they create economic power for the state" that the latter were kept private or why the former were nationalised. The service of the state and industry to the people was paramount in NS economics. The state is not superior to that. It exists for that. That is National Socialism in a nutschell (typo but funny so I'll leave it). >A business's existence is a privilege which can be revoked by the state at any time Correct. This applies universally, not just to the Third Reich. >This is identical to the current day policy of the Chinese Communist Party, and any communist system It is identical to the economic policy of every major country on Earth. The Third Reich seized or nationalised businesses, and they privatised them. They fired a CEO if they didn't like him. They sent in the police if they needed to. So did the United States do this. The first image I've attached is a photo of the national guard physically seizing Montgomery Ward and carrying out Chairman Sewell Avery because it was advantageous to the state to do this (to force resolve a labour dispute). Eisenhower seized nearly a million private properties under eminent domain. Was Bush a communist when he created the TSA? The United States has forcefully nationalised and seized millions of companies, homes, accounts, and business assets, not to mention individual assets, over the past hundred years. They have also privatised state assets or temporarily seized private property or business, only to return it later. Is the US communist for doing this? No, because that is not what defines communism. State seizure of privately held entities is only one aspect of a communist state. Today, the US, and all the other western states, often exercise the same control through proxies. They do "financial deplatforming", where your company is denied the ability to run itself, without being de jure interfered with by the government. This is a thin disguise, and it is an unspoken government policy of interfering in private business when convenient or desirable. But that's only if you're a political dissident and they don't want to be seen doing political oppression. If you're a landowner or inconvenient business, they'll just take your shit. This happens in Britain, Australia, China, the US, and everywhere else The chief distinction of NS economics and other competing systems, is that the NS economy exists in order to serve the health, good, and wellbeing of the people. That is the stated economic principle of the NSDAP. Btw, it's not only the Third Reich that has done this historically, or does this now. Other systems have other principles or purposes, such as state ownership as an ideal in the USSR, or private ownership as an ideal under Reagan in the US, or a mixed economy that vaguely serves the state, powerful business interests, and the people, like Japan (although the BoJ has significantly undermined this on behalf of the US), or China. The technical organisation and structure of the economy is secondary to its ideal and principle. RT: https://shitposter.club/objects/89438588-2131-49e8-aef0-1d6c86c4e7fa

@CatLord @aven >The technical organisation and structure of the economy is secondary to its ideal and principle. This. Was it Hitler who said that "A state that does not exist for the benefit of its people must become a monstrous thing"?

@CatLord @aven The way I usually explain NatSoc economics is it that it's mainly private other than infrastructure, but the state operates companies acting as pace cars where it makes sense to help reduce usery and exploitation. The state can offer an affordable and basic form of a product, amd this encourages provate industry to innovate and create luxury goods since they cant compete with the state in regard to pricing.

@CatLord @aven People are so demoralized by our governments today that they don't understand the original conception of the 'state' as a political body. They insist on it being something separate from the people because we happen to live in a time where that's the case. This is why Mussolini criticized 'democracy' as a sham and a fraud, and asserted that the Fascist society was a truly democratic idea. It's simply the evolution of republican style governance, adapted for a modern stage where the primary threat to the people is subversion of the state apparatus.

@CatLord @aven Too many people still confuse NS with fascism. They are not the same.
