@CatLord @aven People are so demoralized by our governments today that they don't understand the original conception of the 'state' as a political body. They insist on it being something separate from the people because we happen to live in a time where that's the case. This is why Mussolini criticized 'democracy' as a sham and a fraud, and asserted that the Fascist society was a truly democratic idea. It's simply the evolution of republican style governance, adapted for a modern stage where the primary threat to the people is subversion of the state apparatus.
