You sure about too old? Current quotes are 7 years and reducing by the day as prices rocket. Friends of mine were 9 years payback three years ago, will now be three more years at today’s prices. Depends how much of your need you can generate, easier for those in south than Cumbria even with latest tech.

@anamckellar@mas.to Very tempted now - more for the energy security angle than a speedy return or self sufficiency. We face south west ish with a reasonable roof area because it’s a bungalow. I think it’s a no brainer as we already have the heat pump. Would have to add a battery obviously.
