@oblomov@sociale.network I feel like capitalists have ruined the whole concept of these things. I just wanted glasses with a HUD that would overlay directions, or remind me of the names of people I've met previously (stored locally of course, not uploaded to a mothership). But Meta decided the most important thing was recording people without permission and sending it to Meta. Until recently their glasses didn't even have a display! (and that's extra, of course).
