Ok in theory. But let’s be honest, the protection of personal data across borders, is weak in practice, especially when it comes to increasingly fascist administrations such as the US.
Also, EU findings on adequacy? Only 16 countries have been found to offer an adequate level of data protection under the GDPR & that includes the US and Israel / two countries I no longer trust

How many organisations actually conduct due diligence beyond tickbox compliance when ‘transferring data to the US’ for example? Better to design services that do not require personal data - because US authorities may seek that data, even if under subpoenas….

@Privacymatters the actions of the current USA administration, specially but not of DOGE, prove without any doubt that the conditions stated on the adequacy statement are clearly not met. It should have been revoked with the maximum urgency, the USA Government has no idea who can access and process data in its own government, and hasn't taken any action to control it.
