It's the 1 millionth's article by someone who would use Linux on the desktop if only they could run Adobe apps and their favorite games.
My take is that if you really need Adobe and are willing to pay for it, you need an Adobe appliance.
I'm not a gamer, so I'll leave that argument to the experts.
For me, the point of free software OSes isn't to run a bunch of proprietary apps. It's the opposite thing.

@passthejoe@ruby.social Honestly the entire software industry, both free software and proprietary, should feel _deeply_ ashamed that they can't do better than adobe. Adobe are not only among the scummiest business people on the planet, but among the worst programmers. In my brief stint in a college IT department, Adobe was one of our top problem areas
