How is it not clear and obvious that the first, most fundamental act of violence we typically commit in society is telling a newborn child who and what they're going to be? Look at that. A huge chunk of the possible paths in life that kid could take are closed off solely because of an arbitrary decision based in snap judgements of perceived traits, physical and mental. Is that sane?
