Just put this over on #HackerNews to see what the broader tech crowd makes of it. One person has already weighed in with their own iOS logs, seems everyone has "ghosts" in their machines these days. Discussion here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47750775

@unknownuniverse@noc.social Oh yes, after looking into pihole logs I found the chromecast phones home every couple of seconds. Of course it talks back to google, but 10 times per minute? Really?

@unknownuniverse@noc.social Cool. I also read your explanation of your AdGuard DNS filtering which was v interesting. I'm just starting with a basic HomeLab (one Proxmox node with HomeAssistant VM + old ISP router running OpenWRT to connect to mobile b/b. Cudy on order) and collecting info to build from this. I've seen many mentions of PiHole for this so was expecting that would be the route. Is that also AdGuard based or is there a reason you chose a different approach? Thanks for sharing your setup.

@unknownuniverse@noc.social Your first problem is using Alexa. As for the tablets, assuming they're Android based, i'd recommend trying blokada(5, not the newer ones) - https://blokada.org/#download
