I have an idea for a #Writing project in an almost-real world setting, but I need to figure out how to research things for accuracy. The story is set back in a particular English town sometime between 1988-1998 (exactly when depends on a few things). How do I go about (without "AI") finding out minutiae like: - what kind of mobile phones were generally available then (of at all)? - how likely is it a woman would be a Detective Sergeant working solo in Thames Valley Police back then? - etc
