@Anneheathen@glammr.us We have a similar problem in our village. People get dogs then leave them out for hours on end yapping. It was far far worse when we went to visit near Market Drayton recently: someone was audibly neglecting and abusing a number of dogs there, had reportedly received warnings, but the racket still went on chronically. How do we tackle this, people?

@Anneheathen@glammr.us Oof. And what are you, a good neighbor, supposed to do? The poor dog was suffering and/or going to get hurt. I sometimes wonder if the human caretakers realize how much others care and act to help their animals. Does this neighbor know this happens? Does he expect others to be around to help? At least when I return a neighbor's dog (who is rarely secured properly), I get a sheepish thank you.
