Now that’s an interesting idea @lazcorp. I remember my first-ever webpage was hosted on my ISP’s subdomain too. I hadn’t thought of it like this but in hindsight it did help me get past the initial obstacles and get things set up with little fuss. And it often gets much easier the second time round of course.
