reminder that in many countries, you don’t have to “do” your taxes.
the govt just sends you a bill or a check, because they already know what you owe / are owed.
the united states also knows the balance. as a corporate state, they make us dance and squirm to charge us for “relief”

@splendorr@mastodon.social Tax preparer here. When a taxpayer screws up their return and owes money the IRS is all over it. When a taxpayer screws up their return and the IRS owes them money, LOL crickets.
