Cahergal: A large stone cashel (ring fort) on the Ring of Kerry near Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry. Dated to 600 CE and over 25m (80 feet) in diameter, it is one of the best-preserved stone forts in Ireland and one of two neighbouring - the other being Leacanabuaile. Most of its reconstructed walls are between six and 13 feet high and over 15 feet thick. 📷 Anne T More:
