Mermaid expressions... It's been a while since I did one of these: taking a photo reel of someone pulling different expressions, then trying to draw them for a character, in this case a mermaid (or alien, maybe?). I still struggle with making my characters' expressions lively (and consistent between drawings!); I also don't necessarily want to go too far into caricature...at least, not all the time.
