Getting very annoyed at the "just buy an electric car" crowd. Even second hand the cost *to buy* one is still prohibitive and one is going to give me a loan right now when at best I'm taking home just over a grand a month.

@kelpana haven't owned a car in 8 years because we haven't been able to afford it. gonna assume these are the same people who are like "electric prices? just put solar on your roof!" without realizing most people can't do that cause they rent

@kelpana I don’t get why something conceptually simple like an electric motor is a premium product 😢 I mean I kind of do, it’s the batteries, but also why aren’t these all under 7 grand by now??
