it's good to plant shrubs atop animal carcasses. all my roses and several of my trees have a dead chiggen under them. the previous owners had buried a beloved dog and asked me to respect the grave and so I planted a Maggie rose atop it and several perennials to make a memorial garden

I found a dead doggie on the road to Gallup. Buried her in my garden...put a hugel mound over it and planning on lavender there. Poor doggie.

I had a dog that dug up a kitty-cat I buried and I gave that dog the beating of his life. He never did that again. 😡
