Also, selfishly, one day I want to visit Iran. I want to be moved by the architectural marvels of Isfahan. I want to experience the distinctive flavor of Iranian culture, outside of the Orientalist tropes we're exposed to in the west.
We need to protect Iranians. No war in Iran. *yesterday.*

It's no accident I mention the heritage of Isfahan. The discourse around ongoing US/Israeli aggression is very correctly on human rights. And I've seen some library associations object to proposed resolutions against war. This is wrongheaded. As informational professionals, we have a duty to speak out to preserve human heritage. Gaza is one of the worlds' oldest university towns! We need to protect the human heritage Gaza holds, and Iran, and Iraq...
