What homelessness teaches us in the United States is that you do not have the right to exist unless you can sell yourself to the capitalist class. Rights in the US are only things that the government can't take away from you or has to provide for you if they are detaining you (so you can't provide them for yourself). So a right to food, housing, health care - basically meaningless. You can pursue them, by selling your time. And we will all eventually depreciate.
