And if you are a PRSI worker filling your tank this morning and feel some sympathy with the protesters, remember you don't get the VAT back, they do. You don't get a diesel rebate, hauliers do. You don't get to use the cheaper green diesel, farm contractors do. You don't get to write the balance off against tax, they do. They can charge their customers a fuel surcharge, you can't.

@psneeze that was clear from the start to anyone paying attention - the first person I heard being interviewed about the protest was from independent Ireland ..
