Native and long-time resident speakers of Romance speakers: what do you call «rolling coal» (the practice of using a truck modified to be able to spew black smoke on demand, in the mode where it spews black smoke)? Spanish Wikipedia has «el carbón rodante» (is the coal literally rolling, in the room with us right now?) which I don't think even makes sense - even with that construction it'd be «rodar carbón», no? French Wikipedia borrows the English term straight. #lang_en

@ellenor2000 "Coal Rolling", I am familiar. When driving an #EV you sometimes get these dickheads passing you in their bloated pickup trucks and deliberately flooring it to spew "coal" once they get in front. I've been coal rolled a couple of times in central #Alberta.
