Yesterday marked my 22nd blood donation since the start of the full-scale invasion. Considering I’m pushing 50 and the security guards at the blood center now greet me with a personal handshake, I’m starting to feel like a one-of-a-kind legend in this city of five million.
To further inflate this sense of "grandeur" I’m feeling today, I’ve declared a day of rest dedicated to pure intellectual indulgence. I’m learning Italian. It has zero practical use for me right now, but it’s a total blast.
