I voted for Kamala. But her weak spine-ass would've let Israel do the exact same thing to Palestinians. She said she wouldn't be any different from Biden, and we know Biden was a huge Zionist. Of course though, Democrats will clutch their pearls even to this day saying that it was someone else's fault as to why she lost. No it fucking wasn't. Kamala had the MOST support immediately after Biden backed out. She even brought Tim Walz on board who seemed decently progressive at the time. And then Dems started capitulating to the Right. It was sickening to hear at the DNC, "the world's strongest military". And then just yesterday, the DNC votes to block a resolution condemning dark money, including AIPAC, in elections. Establishment Dems are cancer in my eyes. We know Republicans are evil, so Democrats should be the ideological opposite - yet they aren't. They let Republicans get away. We urgently need Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) in this country so we can finally break free of these horrendous 2 choices. Or we don't and stochastic terrorism rises because politicians refuse to curtail corporations and people suffer more and more financially.

Any real candidate woild have beaten trump in 2024. The dems chose a zionist who ran a rape gulag for trans women. I tried to help its victims heal. Any candidate who tried to appeal to any coalitoon, to make any compromise withthe a tual people would have won 2024 in a landslide. Harris did not. Poor shit piggy didnt get its turn :(. Delete this shitty fucking post. Dems put up a garbage candidate, and they lost the easiest race imaginable, for a second time. The Democratic Party actively courted right wing voters. The left obviously didn't want that, and the right was never going to vote for you anyway. You lost. Get over it. Start doing something actually useful instead of *removed* and whining. Anyone with any institutional fealty to the Democratic Party should be so embarrased, they never show their face in public again. But instead, they just punch left, and smugly act like their own failures were someone else's fault. Anyway, I'm off to go do real activism in my local community, with organizations that actually give a shit about me and my neighbors.

So if this is why the Democrat candidate failed then the next candidate they put up won't support Israel since the Democrats will learn from their mistakes? I would like that, but I don't think it will happen. I think the new candidate will be the same as the old candidate and the Dem's will have learned nothing. Pro-business, pro-Israel, soft on regulations, soft on Republican lawbreaking, and corrupt as hell.

can we please stop relitigating 2024 all over lemmy right new? everyone's being just as inneffective and useless rn 2026 as they were two years ago. if you're actually interested in doing something about all this awfulness get out into the streets, go to mutual aid projects, train with community defense groupsg and actually do something useful. this is like the 5th fucking thing i've seen on lemmy, from either side of what action should have been taken 2 years ago (ie: vote for Kamala, don't vote for Kamala) and i'm fucking sick of it. just like i didn't encounter anyone with lemmy's "vote 3rd party, it's the only way forward" political stances out in the real world, i'm not encountering anyone who's still thinking this hard about a day 2 years ago who's actually doing anything to address these problems
