First annoying Linux problem for a while. makemkv (diskripping) is hanging on Linux a lot, so much so it can take an hour of fiddling to get a disk to rip. Lots of reports about it online but the only real answer is to revert to an earlier version. Guess what, Flatpak doesn't let you do that without a massive horror dive and being on bazzite I can't really do it any other way. *Sigh* the old windows laptop has come out to help :(
