Informative bike commute this morning. I met Joe and rode to work together, and learned a little about his trip to Berkeley on Tuesdays.
I also met an Oakland judge who lives on a local houseboat in Alameda, and commutes by bike every day she can, to her job at the courthouse. With her dog. In a backback.
They are the bike dog backpack person I keep seeing. And they are bike and transit advocates.
Sometimes the world makes an awesome person.

I also got to plant the seed of starting a free bus loop in earshot of Lauren from Bike Walk East Bay, and mentioned they might check with the Emery-Go-Round folks who have multiple shuttle-bus-to-transit loops. If anyone knows how much it costs to run something to take you to a ferry and/or BART, Emeryville knows.
