Ugh, hot water heater needs a part replaced and the service techs told us not to use it. It’s spring in a temperate region; hot water is non-optional. Adding insult to injury, this warning only comes after I opened unit to figure out whether there was a leak inside out the tech you did the flush a week back merely failed to seat the condensate sediment drain properly (which leaked on the junction box the unit gets power from, alerting me to the problem with nice, cold groundwater temp “hot” water). I’m just a humble software engineer who has prior experience with industrial-scale fluid systems, but I think that a trap on a condensate line needs to be water tight. Fuckers failed to put it back properly, again.
