In lighter news, I think this could be a good opportunity for folks in Burnaby to be able to continue to elect good municipal councillors whom I haven't seen any bad news items about in the last 2 years I've lived in the Lower Mainland: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/burnaby-2026-municipal-election-preview-9.7141244 I am probably the most curious as to why Alison Gu is not seeking re-election if she got the most popular votes when she was elected.
