Seems like Amazon has admitted that Iran directly hit AWS me-central-1.

@russss that’s quite old news now, any updates are now only on the Personal Health Dashboards of customers with pre-existing resources in those regions. The regions are essentially deprecated and abandoned now, they’re not coming back up until after the war is done and it’s safe to send engineers to rebuild them.

@russss when i called my internet-facing asterisk ec2 instance in me-central-1 "atrisk" i had a different kind of risk in mind 🙃 (that is, asterisk being a steaming pile of ancient c code)
