We need to break the cycle of overpaying for old electronics. Collector markets be what they may - but that's reserved for RESTORED MACHINES. https://youtu.be/H2AxRk9Tc_M

@RonsCompVids I have a set price list in my head for machines in good quality that is higher than what they’re worth - but not insane. $25 for an IWII, $50 for an SE, $75 for an eMate etc - if it’s something I want to work on or have an idea for a project. There are some things that are just insane. There was a pippin that showed up in someone’s livestream for roughly $200 at a shop in Toyko a few weeks ago. I tried to find one last week without any luck. The Japanese auction sites are nuts for those. One went today all scuffed up, without a controller, but with a floppy drive for way over $600. $20-50 would be fair for what it is, but the scarcity, lore, and greed is suffocating the hobby.
