@skyfire747@aus.social OK, service provider (iinet) sent info re our house being in the fortunate position (literally) of being close to all the wires and tubes and we could jump the queue for free if we wanted.

@sisterratched@social.vivaldi.net wow! Don't think we can here since I don't think there is any fibre in our street. We have Iinet as well. NBN Co laid a cable of some sort across the road months ago, but it wasn't a continuous cable and they only went as far as the walkway before they turned and went up the walkway and nothing has been done since.
