  • @kev Spinning your own small fediverse backend makes perfect sense, specially given your follower count! I would love to see the progress and steps to get there.

  • The 3-day AI workshop is done; I'm tired of thinking about AI processes, best practices, and how to move existing projects' development processes to be agentic. I need a break.

  • Updated my #Mastodon instance to 4.7.3 🔗 https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/releases/tag/v4.7.3 #MastoAdmin

  • #Gitea changed the release naming, now we're at 28.0.0 Just upgraded my instance 🔗 https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/releases/tag/v28.0.0

  • I have updated the post with my bash script to clean up #Gitea actions. Now they have introduced a built-in way to clean this, making this bash obsolte: 🔗 https://ricard.dev/how-to-delete-old-gitea-workflow-runs/ #Automation #Gitea #Docker

  • Migrated yet another #WordPress site to #Hugo in just a few hours, no features lost, same design, now statically generated from clean Markdown. Opus 5.5 did most of the heavy lifting. Good stuff. Without it, I would have needed days.

  • @ronaldsvilcins personal blog, none. As you demonstrated with semantic markup you get a lot nowadays ❤️

  • @StumpyTheMutt @404mediaco I like where you are going with this 😎 very plausible they did it on purpose just to blame it on the AI later. Or simply rushing a product to market without proper QA.

  • @StumpyTheMutt Ok I didn't know this one, it's good: > Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity

  • Another day another #WordPress security update. Boy am I happy to migrate away from it. https://wordpress.org/news/2026/10/wordpress-7-1-3-maintenance-and-security-release/

  • Now that my main dev site runs on Hugo. Merged my standalone code gists #Hugo site into my main site, it was quite easy with Opus 5.5. Code is clean and works great. 🔗 https://ricard.dev/gists/

  • When will #Mastodon allow to share code snippets with syntax highlighting? 🤔 Lots of people sharing screenshots of pretty code, I can't copy and paste that 🥲

  • @michael Feels illegal ❌

  • @SteveRudolfi At least you can tell they did not use AI to screen candidates.

  • @ayo and here was I thinking all speech to text nowadays happened on device. I was wrong.

  • Trying out spec-kit for a side project, I want to create a text-based browser game. So far, the spec framework is a bit overwhelming with so many Markdown files. Moving from actual coding to reading Markdown is rather boring. Welcome to 2026, I guess. 🔗 https://github.com/github/spec-kit

  • October 21, 2022 Anniversary of the day I started my #Mastodon server, in a hotel room in South Korea, fully awake due to jet lag in the middle of the night 🇰🇷

  • Approved my #Claude certification, for whatever's worth.
