Average #pakeha behaviour in #Pōneke. I almost squished three idiots today with my car, because they REFUSE to use the crosswalk on Bunny Street.

Every time I send condolences to people who have had to say goodbye to their beloved pet, I say that they (the pet) looked like they were the best in the world. Because every pet is the best. Without question.

I bought a few Shelly plug s and integration with homeassistant is compared to some other devices quite easy and done in just a few minutes. Plug it in, detected almost immediately by HA, add it to my iot wifi, go to ha settings, start update. I want them to remember the last state, which cannot be done within HA, but it's also done quickly via the web ui. Nice. #shelly #plug #homeassistant

thread support in android is a mess.. :( I had configured my nanoleaf as thread router. I removed it and have my homeassistant set up as thread router and removed it from nanoleaf. My phone ne knows both now, but there seems to be no way to just remove that old (preferred) one and it insists to talk with that non existent when adding thread only matter devices. *sigh* #android #thread #homeassistant #matter

✅ Opnsense, mailcow and finally bookstack patched. I was not sure if I have more services running php yesterday.. 😬 #php #cve #php2shell #patch

I need some smartification for dumb ferraris meter. I do not have power supply there, not always access, meter is behind a pane of glass and wifi... Is if at all bad. IR reading seems to be the easiest one and probably power efficient running on batteries. But if they drain I miss readings and need to fix them after restoring power. It seems not very reliable more like guessing. Camera needs probably more power, but it reads the actual meter values. #ferraris #meter #homeassistant

ADHD head is exploding today.. so many ideas what to do. And then.. paralysis or uncoordinated starting of parallel tasks. :( *sigh* #adhd #taskparalysis

#wero #paypal #visa

The beeswax-turpentine coating on my desk suddenly started peeling off like dry skin, after less than 3 months of use. *sigh* Can anyone versed in woodworking guess why this might have happened? I followed all the instructions, did many passes, and let it dry for days.

The Ebola outbreak in the DRC has now crossed 10,000 cases and is getting close to 5,000 deaths. It is a staggeringly large outbreak and it continues to grow rapidly, with 96 new cases in the last 24 hours alone. https://insp.cd/sitrep-n164-mve-bdbv-25-10-2026/

lord help me… of course a day that’s absolutely tipping it down with rain and with my husband out at a nomikai is the day where Twin Y headbutts his big sister while I’m cooking dinner and I have to halt operations to deal with mouthfuls of blood everywhere and a newly-wobbly tooth 😫
