Ran out of work, so summer holidays are starting early! (One of the perks or curses of being freelance)

Went back to Oz for almost two weeks mid August and we may have bought more than $1000 worth of kids books and brought them back with us - went with two suitcases and came back with two extra checked bags 😂

Tonight’s dinner is curry: 2 big onions, 1.5 carrots, two types of mushrooms (I’ve given up trying to remember the Japanese mushroom names), and pork mince (because it’s easier for the kiddies to eat). I fry the veggies on low while I chop them up, and add potatoes before I add hot water (the packet tells me to use 1300 mL but my pot was only big enough for 1L). Currently in the process of adding とろみ

Stressful day included pc network issues on a day I had a translation due - perhaps due to my Ethernet adapter Getting yelled at and called names by our eldest kid More network issues the night before partner needs to start work in the home office at 7am - it turns out our wifi router forgot its pppoe settings, perhaps because I was power cycling it to try and diagnose my earlier network issues
