Happy #WaterfallWednesday! 🌿✨ Taking a moment to appreciate the incredible, silky flow of this moss-covered wonder in the Pacific Northwest. There's nothing like the sound and sight of moving water to reset for the rest of the week. Do you have a favorite local waterfall? Share a pic or tell us about it in the comments! 🏞️ #Waterfall #NaturePhotography #LandscapePhotography #PNW #NatureLover #Hike #ExploreTheOutdoors #PacificNorthwest #GoOutside

#ThrowbackThursday A quiet evening looking toward Mount Rainier as the full moon rises over the summit. The contrast between the dark evergreen canopy and the twilight-lit glacier snow makes this one of my favorite memory captures from the Pacific Northwest. #Photography #Landscape #MtRainier #PNW #MastoArt #Nature

Golden hour in pride territory. 🦁☀️ Young lions spend considerable time resting alongside older females, absorbing crucial social cues and pride dynamics while soaking up the late-day sun. The intense amber eyes on the young lion behind contrast beautifully with the peaceful, resting expression of the lioness in front. #WildlifePhotography #Kenya #Lions #BigCats #AnimalBehavior #GoldenHour #Safari #Fediverse #Wildlife #Mammals #Nikon #Photography #PhotosOfMastodon

“Get outside. It’s all about getting out and walking. The second thing is, forget everything you’ve learned on the subject of photography for the moment, and just shoot.”– Daido Moriyama – Japanese street photographer #photography

Noob: Can I install Linux on an empty nvme while in windows? Without needing a USB? Basically. I have separate drive for my windowsOS/media etc. And one of my nvme drive now is completely empty. Is there a way to install Linux onto that empty nvme with windows and then like turn the PC off remove my windows drive entirely, and then have it just boot with the linux drive without needing to do a whole bootable usb through the motherboard uefi? I don’t have USB drives and they cost too much fo...

😢 'The Harder They Come' and 'You Can Get It If You Really Want' have been on a playlist I've kept saved for years, and play any time I need to feel happier or more motivated. And they always take me back to being a kid and my dad pulling out classic vinyl to share with me... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj4qdren425o

RE: https://mastodon.social/@OnlineRaceDriver/115622194117126878 Always a shame to see games pushed back, but I'd rather they arrived in a good state than hitting deadlines for the sake of it...

Another music legend gone... I've probably listened to his guitar playing more than any other musician, given the amount of hits he played on... RIP Steve Cropper - one of the greatest of all time... https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/dec/03/steve-cropper-death

Spent a couple of days not looking forward to getting back into the early morning routine... Then got up early, had some OK appointments, did some errands, and started work full of enthusiasm. Turns out that rising at a decent hour and getting stuff done does build some motivation. Who knew? 🤦♂️

I can't think of a more obviously pointless status symbol than an AI pen. If I'm writing on paper, it's private. Or jumbled thoughts which I want to work on in the future. And my handwriting is barely legible, let alone worth 'capturing' so someone can more easily forge my identity.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@rescogs/115888815881440182 Most stuff has become much more expensive over the years - one of the few outliers seems to be budget motorcycle kit, which has got a lot better without prices going up a lot...

RE: https://mastodon.social/@OnlineRaceDriver/116075302648991347 Always cool to see games being revived, whether that's by the original developers or community efforts.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@OnlineRaceDriver/116879772697159166 As someone who loves history and motorsport, one of the best things about sim racing is being able to drive projects like this - getting a bit of the experience of driving a pre-war car around a vintage track adds so much to reading about the drivers and teams of those eras...

I haven't watched a soap opera in years, but I'll quite happily follow the antics of the clumsy pigeons in our garden - romance, drama and the occasional disaster when the load bearing capability of a branch is much less than the pigeon has assumed.
