Some explanation is required, I've been playing Atlyss lately, and I needed to make a character for an RP group I'm looking to join. Perhaps I will make more illustrations as I go, perhaps my character will die right away. We'll see.

Considering this was done in "my style," I thought it would be cool to have them passing each other in the night. Kind of a close encounter with an urban legend/cryptid kinda thing. Honestly if you think about the Totoro movie, that's a pretty good description of how those encounters would feel for adults who don't just automatically trust gigantic, fluffy, cartoon characters running around.

This was another art request done during the "Forgotten WIP" segment. It was requested several years ago by LadyGuu, who actually ended up coming back to the stream! This is from back before I implemented the rule that viewers can only have one active request at a time. (Or at least back before I was good about enforcing it) Remarkable how much I have grown as an artist since then!

Amtgard was requesting new Art last month (yes during Art Fight, I know.) The Art was for the Dor Un Avathar XI, which is basically their version of a Monster Manual. The new art was requested because even though many of the previous illustrations were beautiful, they were not printer friendly. So us LARP artists had to make submissions which were BW with almost no greyscale; practically Line Arts.

Next up I went with the Corrosion Beast. Because what even IS a "Corrosion Beast?" In the DnD Monster Manual, the Corrosion Beast is depicted as some kind of giant flea. In the Dor Un Avather, it was some weird armadillo centipede. With this vague instructions, I decided to base my Corrosion beast off an Amebelodon, and a Megatherium. I also gave it iron spikes and a thagomizer; meant to represent how this creature metabolizes the metal it eats, and integrates it into its car...

Next up for my Monster Art submissions for the Dor Un Avathar, I did some undead creatures. This one is "Ghost," and I based it primarily off the Japanese Teru Teru Bozu tradition. (We didn't call it that when I was making these with my parents as a kid, but I learned about the tradition when I grew up) #amtgard #dorunavathar #larp

Next up is Wraith. Unlike ghost, the garb for wraith is listed as dark and ragged. They have the "blink," "gift of air," and "phase bolt" abilities. So I went with a semi corporeal mass of dark slimy fabric stretched/growing over an unseen form. (Keep in mind that messing with the opacity would result in greyscale, therefore break the BW style guide. Hence why I didn't do it.) #amtgard #dounavathar #larp

Petit #bricolage vite fait. Hier, j'ai collé des planches entre elles pour avoir une planche un peu plus large. L'idée était de faire un cadre photo un peu large. Aujourd'hui j'ai fait les découpes. Il me reste à faire le ponçage, le support arrière (j'hésite à faire un truc qui s'accroche au mur, ou rajouter un pied pour le poser), puis la finition. Il faudra encore trouver un truc en verre/plexiglas. Et j'ai une super idée pour le main...
