Well, hi everyone :neofox_uwu: This is my #introduction post. I'm Nico and I post mainly in Russian though I may interact with posts in English as well. A project built on VRChat just won an Emmy! I am supremely chuffed! We put a lot of effort over the past few years into making sure our tools are high enough quality that folks can do stuff like that and last night SOMEONE DID! We didn't win the Emmy of course, but it's so cool to see a project I work on and care about so deeply be listed. https://www.televisionacademy.com/shows/uncanny-alley-a-new-day?

youtubers are like "No one knows how this common thing works UNTIL NOW! Luckily for you I have a 9 minute and 13 second video that explains EVERYTHING, just like 23 other youtubers mysteriously have at the exact same time!"

The number of times I look at an engineering decision and think "the person that designed this does not have a cat' is bonkers.

Is there a light weight activitypub that I can self host without wanting to go nuclear every update? What does that landscape look like

I'm experimenting with hosting a single-user instance at @voltur@voltur.one . I'll be following some of y'all there. I know it can be obnoxious when folks are constantly hopping instances and stuff, so I'll try not to do that.

📅 22. Juni 12:00-13:30h https://www.event...

RE: https://climatejustice.social/@briefecology/117337605876345514 This was a fascinating issue to put together. Waste is so ever-present in capitalist society that we rarely stop to think about what it actually is, or what it could be instead.

Whew, doin' a whole lotta blockin' on here, today.

@tilton I owned this exact model! Bought it at Staples after I cashed a paycheck with a *lot* of overtime. I remember learning how to write with the stylus, then completely forgetting how to actually write on paper.
