#3GoodThings 1. Looked up current advice on NSAIDs before/after vaccines BEFORE I took the NSAIDs (advice has changed since I last checked! https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/news/publications/health-matters/getting-a-flu-shot-skip-the-advil-tylenol-for-mild ) 2. The bread I baked yesterday is delicious! 3. Mini-vacation in a couple of weeks.

#ThreeGoodThings + it's a long weekend (even though I'm not in NSW, I get their holidays which means I have a holiday when everyone else in my state has to work, and that leaves me feeling special and probably a little smug... also WA had a holiday last week and I didn't get it so I'm not that smug) + I bought sugar snap peas and they are *so good*, I've eaten ten already, yummo + Ella has been doing great on her walks, which is awesome! She's such a fast learner. I...

Once again, the arrogance is breathtaking. Wholesale erosion and flattening of the human condition, all commandeered from a small set of wonks in Silicon Valley. https://www.404media.co/mark-zuckerberg-posts-deranged-6-500-word-essay-about-giving-everyone-ai-superintelligence/

https://www.liberalcurrents.com/fascists-really-believe-it/ This is a long, really well-written essay about the nature of neofascism. I think it reiterates many of the points some of us have made over the recent years!

Vital insights by the engineers at the International Energy Agency about the energy footprint of AI. (Some of the consultants in this short docu are, admittedly, endearingly stuffy – something that I applaud. Not everyone can be a chirpy influencer.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M3MciEmC5c Some takeaways: * Singular AI search queries through f.ex. Google Search are not individually that energy intensive. One shouldn't scold people for occasionally using AI search. (All ye besserw...

@cazmockett oh wow, another banger! I love the wispy bits protruding out into space. Very fun!

@nhoizey good news, I believe they've finally done this as of 2025! I've built a few new releases this year and they each had an individual bag of each number. The multiple bags of each number also got me several times over the years. Did not like!

@davidbisset oh hang on, did I get to introduce YOU to something for a change!?

There is a session about exactly this topic at @loopconf this year! Juliette, maintainer of the ever-popular phpcs package, is presenting: https://loopconf.com/sessions/resurrecting-the-dead https://front-end.social/@leaverou/115128418135626087

@docpop Doc! Could you recommend a good first #yoyo for my soon-to-be 11yo? Is a classic Duncan or Yomega still a fine place to start? I'm positive you've posted something about this somewhere before but haven't been able to find it—sorry!

#Introduction 📸 I’m Thalia, a NYC-born photographer. I made my work completely independent to build a direct home for street photography, cinematic portraits, & the human stories hiding in plain sight. After losing my fast-growing audience elsewhere to a platform lockout, I'm rebuilding. This time, on my terms. ♡ Read my essays & support independent publishing: https://hellothalia.ghost.io #StreetPhotography #PortraitPhotography #Photography #MastoArt #NewHere
