This is also Day 600 of the daily shots on Bluesky, and for the moment this is the last of them. There are more in the archive, but I'm cutting the pace and future photo posts will be occasional, not daily.

I never met the guy. I got to know just a little of who he was through his file packets of negatives, though only when I was able to scan them in 2004. We did perhaps share something in perspective. This first shot was taken by my father in Sudan around 1940 - a small child holding a kid goat. Observational snapshooting, so I got to see what he saw.

The European #climate #movement has won - for a certain definition of 'won': The #EU now has clear targets for 2030, 2040 and #netzero for 2050. This is unlikely to change. The only things left are: a) Implementation with all the related questions: Who earns money with the transformation? Who pays for it? How clever/foolish are we going about it? Etc. b) Getting the rest of the world to cut their #emissions as well.

Yeah. "It could be worse" is not exactly a winning story, right? This could be Copenhagen, except for the colour of the bikelanes. There's this illusion that places like Amsterdam and Copenhagen are some fairytale land where everyone bikes. We do well, but there's a lot of work to do, and we build a lot of stuff that's promoting car dominance - even if there's a bike lane.
