"Maya" is harvesting squash in Tucson AZ where temps as she labored hit 95°. "We start work at 5:30am, but even so, the heat gets the best of us. By 11am it's very hot. Drinking water doesn't relieve my dizziness and nausea caused by the heat." That day hit 107°. #WeFeedYou

"Jose" harvests WA blueberries. "We're paid piece rate at 50 cents per pound. We go as fast as we can to try to earn min wage, but the conditions are not good. It's very hard to cover expenses as we also pay for gas to drive 2 hrs away to harvest the crop." #WeFeedYou

"Julio" is a tomato dumper in the Los Banos area. "The hardest part of my work is lifting the 20lb buckets full of tomatoes over and over again. Sometimes it causes my back to cramp. The work is even harder in this heat. This day it was 95° at 10am." #WeFeedYou

As "Julio's" phone shows, it was 90° today at 11am in Sunnyside WA where he was thinning apples. "We're not used to these temps. This extreme heat and terrible air quality caused by the fires, put us at great risk. It isn't healthy for us, but we don't have a option." #WeFeedYou

"Leo" is a tractor driver in the plums in Fresno CA. I earn $19/hr. "What I do is very hard work. When temps are in the high 90s° it gets difficult to work. I've gotten heat exhaustion in the past with a really bad headache and sweating a lot." #WeFeedYou

"Maria" harvest WA blueberries on a non-union farm. She works piece rate making $3/6lb bucket. We start at 5am because of the heat. In challenging conditions that piece rate is difficult to hit minimum wage. This week, temps will be as high as 105°. #WeFeedYou

"Ricardo" is ready to start harvesting strawberries at 6:30 am. "This season was not good due to changing weather conditions. Despite this I worked every day as I need to cover expenses like rent and food. It's even harder right now, as my wife is ill and cannot work." #WeFeedYou

It was 95° at 10am in Los Banos CA. "Raul" shares, "Carrying a 20 lb bucket for a 4-5 hrs/day & having to lift the bucket up to the dumper is very tiring. With the recent high temps there's risks of heat exhaustion. We take more breaks and watch out for each other." #WeFeedYou

"Manuel" sent us this picture from where he was working harvesting grapes in Bakersfield CA. "At 10:41 it was 90°. lt feels hotter under the grapevines where we work. The vines keep the humidity in and there's no air movement. It is hard to keep hydrated as we work." #WeFeedYou

Strawberry work slowed down in Oxnard, which is why "Rodrigo" has moved to Salinas. "I've been working in the strawberry industry for about 10 years. I works in the fields year-round. I often feel tired, yet I cannot really rest, because the rent won't wait." #WeFeedYou
