It's an odd thing making something that you don't personally understand a bit wrong, but not so wrong that someone who should be able to understand it wouldn't understand it*

Anyhow, here's a Thai entry to the FFS project.

To my eyes the script looks very musical & I like it enormously. Even if it is a bit rude.

• Apologies, that sentence is also a bit odd.

The Russian entry into the collection. #theFFSproject #Russian #colourfulLanguage

The FFS Project has it's own little bit of my website now. I can add to it as I go, and it flings them all onto a single page, and you can click to see them bigger with the language displayed. You can also make them bounce around the screen like an old school foul-mouthed DVD screensaver, for no reason whatsoever other than it amused us 🤷‍♀️ #theFFSproject #colourfulLanguage https://www.eclectech.co.uk/ffs

Special edition Swedish entry into the FFS project, as a result of seeing their political news earlier today. I still can't see confirmation of a final result, but the left bloc still seem to be ahead, so just hoping that holds. On a more trivial note, that is a LOT of 'a's. #theFFSproject #Swedish

The Bavarian German FFS entry is the shortest FFS alternative to date. Boom. #theFFSproject #German #BavarianGerman

When I started the FFS project I mentioned a poster of the resulting graphics, and I was playing around with the idea with the few I've done so far. Main realisations are that it definitely needs to be a Proper Web Project too, as a poster will be quite limited in space and can't expand to the same scale (a web thing is in progress), and I think I need to redo the Welsh one, as I have got in a pattern with the others and the colours of the Welsh letters are a bit off. I quite like them against a black background though. There's definitely going to need to be a decision about lots and lots of examples all quite small, or just picking a few out. Anyhow, just thinking out loud really. #theFFSproject #colourfulLanguage

OK, lets give this a shot. Basically with my linguistics skills I will be able to do ONE more. That would be quite a short series. To make it longer a fedi collaboration will be required 😁 If you fancy helping please let me know how to write "for fuck's sake" in your language (native, or one you're pretty fluent in - no literal translations from machines please). Of course the big question is whether it's used elsewhere? It *might* be a very short series 😆 #colourfulLanguage #theFFSproject
