From Facebook: After a tough and emotional decision, Jana Kesenheimer (010), who had been leading the FLINTA field, has decided to drop out of the General Classification to join her partner, Christian Holweck (014), and ride for a Race Finish as a pair. The pair had completed most of their TCR training together over the last year, and although Jana hadn’t initially considered riding as a pair, their unexpected proximity during the first days of the race proved difficult. The stress of ensuring their races remained separate, and actively trying to avoid one another, ultimately led to a change of heart and a reevaluation of her motivations at CP1. “I was able to race two times pretty well, so maybe let’s add something new to the experience,” she told our Race Reporter today.
