Researchers have analyzed over 200 years of data on flowering plants from the collections of tropical plant herbaria distributed in Africa, Asia, and South America. They identified 33 plant species with distinctive annual flowering times, collecting information from 8,000 plant samples collected between 1794 and 2024. The result revealed that flowering times have shifted an average of two days per decade; approximately a third of the species flower earlier, while two-thirds flower later.
