Iranian VLCC tanker with $220M oil evaded US naval monitoring
The Iranian very large crude carrier HUGE, owned by the National Iranian Tanker Company, transported over 1.9 million barrels of crude oil to the Far East. The cargo is valued at approximately $220 million. The vessel, with IMO number 9357183, managed to evade monitoring by the United States Navy. This incident highlights ongoing Iranian efforts to circumvent international sanctions on oil exports. The operation was conducted without detection by American naval patrols in the region.
