I’m ar Överselö Church on the island Selaön in lake Mälaren. There are six runestones here by the church. One of them, Sö 207, mentions travels to England. It has been attributed to the rune carver Balle, though there is no signature. A large part of the inscription is missing, as the left side of the stone has broken off. The day started off very sunny, but now it has started to rain. I’m trying to wait it out under a tree and having a snack. I still have five more stones to photograph. Translation: Guð-… … his father. He competently travelled to England. May God help his soul. #runestones #viking
