#TACO #Trump is retreating from his statement that the #US would charge hefty #fees on ships traversing the #StraitOfHormuz, & his call for #reimbursement from #GulfStates for military protection. In a long rant on Truth Social, he wrote instead of the fee of 20% of the value of a ship’s cargo, he had “decided to replace” it with investment & trade deals with the affected countries [IOW, someone told him he couldn’t charge ships tolls on #InternationalWaters].
