Originally from UK, I have been living in this beautiful spot in a wooded valley in Umbria for over 30 years. I rebuilt the big old stone house with my own hands stone by stone from the ground up. Over 30 years ago we were one of the first in our area to obtain a small PV panel. It cost a months wages and produced 45W.
Now, for a similar amount of inflation adjusted money, we have just installed 4KW of panels and 10Kw/h of battery storage and have been independent of the mains since installation in early April.
Yesterday we passed 1MWh of electricity production!
