Almost 50 mm of rain so far in #Ottawa today. IIRC, we were only expecting a couple mm. Maybe this is the next 100 year storm. #onstorm

Earlier in the dental office, was watching CTV talking to confused, angry, and hurt Ottawa citizens whose basements and backyards flooded catastrophically during the storm 2 weeks ago. Help from the province has not yet arrived and there were lots of prevaricating ministers talking. We are in a heat dome right now; I shouldn't have booked anything for midday. The admin tells me there is wildfire smoke in the forecast, too. Happy Summer? #climateChange #ONheatDome #ONstorm #wildfireSmoke

The storm overtop now and we are taking “shelter” on my kitchen floor. I figured standing with my nose on the window wasn’t smart anymore. Edit.. well not really the storm. Just the lightning. It’s thundering a bit but there is very little rain and wind. #Ottawa #OnStorm
