I think the best possible new tax to implement alongside universal basic income is a land value tax because it would also solve the landlord problem and make housing more affordable. @QasimRashid@mastodon.social We could have had Henry George. Hopefully, Mayor Mamdani will one day advocate for #LandValueTax #LVT, which is much better than any other kind of #taxation, and hopefully, NYC will one day vote for it.
