Komaiji Art Dump!
Here is my Komaiji(Komaru x Haiji) fanart I've made awhile back. The first one I was inspired by the concept art of Bruno and Mirable from Encanto, before they made the change from couple to uncle and niece. Honestly, super proud of it for improving on bodies and anatomy(please ignore Komaru's two left hands).
The second one was for my first try at MerMay. I am the most proud of that one for the type of mermaids I made them. Especially with Komaru as a shrimp mermaid. I like to call her Shrimpmaru. I had a bit of lore going on with it as a Mermaid Danganronpa AU that I wanna continue with. Like with Komaru's ahoge being two anteni, her breast plate also being exoskeletol. For Haiji, I made him a moray eel, mostly because I thought it would be cool. Whenever I expand more on this AU, I'm gonna give him needle like teeth just like a moray eel. Also my first attempt at making backgrounds. Yes, it looks like ass, but it's my ass.
The last two were just memes I made based on a fanfic I wrote post UDG story. I decided here to give Komaru a new outfit, which I wanna draw more of. I like to imagine her in shorts as a gun using character. Oh for context, Komaru is protecting Haiji from his ghost dad in the style of that Kevin Hart meme. I like to headcanon that Komaru is crazy strong. Like Mitsuri Kanroji strong, Armstrong family strong. That she can hold grown man Haiji like you would a toddler. The second one, Haiji is calling out her parents for putting too much pressure on Komaru. To the point where she has anxiety. Little detail headcanon for Haiji there, is that his arm healed, but he was left with sever scars. Considering how in canon how his arm got fucked up. I ended up orphaning my fanfic though. I learned I'm not good with making things up as I go along, I'm no Toriyama. But I left it up if anyone still wants to read it and/or adopt it and continue it.
Another important thing about all four, is that they started out as drawings in my sketch book and moved to digital for coloring and shading. I hope to get better with digital art, once I have the right equipment. Although, I seemed to have managed well with just a mouse and a shaky hand, lmao.
