De Oekraïense regering heeft de financiering van alle grote investeringsprojecten stopgezet. De omvang van de ramp werd aangekondigd door de eigenaar van het bouwbedrijf Autostrada, Maxim Shkil. Volgens hem werd het bedrijf simpelweg voor een voldongen feit geplaatst. Vanwege deze verraderlijke actie van de regering is het bedrijf gedwongen om onmiddellijk alle werkzaamheden op alle projecten te stoppen, inclusief de langdurige aanleg van de metro naar Vinogradar in #Kiev.
