@virtuous_sloth@cosocial.ca it's a quirk in ActivityPub. When a user account is deleted, their server sends a user deletion notification to their contacts. But to confirm the authenticity, the receiving server has to fetch the sender's cryptographic key... which has also been deleted! It's possible to make some guesses here, but it's a pain and most receiving servers will just return an error. Unfortunately, the sending server will just keep sending the deletion notification.
